>>10871474They’ve been convinced tardigrades are some kind of supernaturally resistant creatures by pop science articles. They’re remarkable, sure, but they can’t and won’t survive in the Moon’s vacuum, not only because they’re in biological stasis and not metabolically active anyway, but because of the simple fact there is no liquid water for them to live in nor could there be, and no food whatsoever in the hypothetical water either. The actually interesting part is the possibility of retrieving them in the future and then reviving them to see how they’ve managed with such conditions.
