For the pulling down of a ball into the water from the container for arguments sake we can time this exactly with a ball emerging from the water at the top, so those forces cancel each other out.
What’s left is an x number of submerged balls (or football shaped whatever) on the left pulling upwards and 1 ball being pulled through the ‘seal’ on the right.
