I think there is clear evidence that some knowledge can be discovered not by sheer power of logical deduction and the intellect and rational thinking but by combining that with an erudite tradition of myths, intuition magic and something else that we may not be aware of. There are a ton of examples like this but hear this out:

How did the ancient greeks figured out Jupiter was the biggest planet?

I mean they obviously gave him the most important, naming it after their more important god, but they had no way of knowing this, its impossible they had telescopes big enough to even make out the moons even including /x tier history, and it's not the brightest object in the sky by a longshot.

How, how the fuck did they know?

They could only see it was bright, but not brighter than venus, they could assume or maybe even understand because of its orbit how far it was.

But could it be that by some unconcious mechanism in their brain they were able to process all that information and even tough they were not exactly sure why something screamed at them: "that guy right there is the boss, that is the biggest one by a lot, name that after your main god".

My point is that sometimes some knowledge is beyond intellect, so we shouldnt laught that much today at things that are considered /x tier because, like alchemy magic and shit they may still hold some truth that we are not yet able to rationally explain but will be some day maybe.
