You screwed this up as well. You're missing a root under x - 1.
In any case, same deal as last time. Now we have a topology too so we can see whether the limit of the relevant sequence holds.
Here we have sqrt(1 + (x+1)/sqrt(1 + (x-1)/2)) = 2.
Then (x+1)/sqrt((x+1)/2) = 3.
So sqrt(x+1) = 3/sqrt(2), and x = 7/2.
Of course I'm just assuming you made the root error, if so that's it.
