They are. Khan is wrong if they imply they are different. Probably that the algorithm to check your answer didn't include variations due to simplification.

you should probably get used to online, and even textbooks with wrong answers. In my calc 4 class we found 40 wrong answers in a 3rd edition textbook.

Companies used to offer bounties for errata, but most don't care now.

In a Praxis test prep for educators in English, my friend found over 600 outright mistakes.

No one cares about anything once you have paid....

No one uses mixed fractions because the notation for a mixed fraction is the same notation for an integer multiplied by a fraction.
Notation confusion is also the reason you don’t use the division operation sign, as its confusing when you have a multiplication operation after a division operation. Instead, you only use fractions and negative exponents, as its pretty unambiguous.
