given that the situation got to the point where i felt like physically collapsing off my legs every time i was outside for a year and was sure i had heart problems and blood sugar issues i think it worked out about as well as could be expected. i never thought i could feel so physically shit just because of mental things even as a healthy young person.

also university "safety nets" are a joke, topped only by the public healthcare system for how useless they are in dealing with these issues

I just pretended like I was normal until I would throw up if a girl got mad at me. Funnily enough I was apparently a semi-popular kid that everyone liked, I won the senior superlative for wit and people apparently liked to be around me.

Nowadays I try to keep my autism under close wraps and am a functional adult. I just don't like people being in my house and seeing all my anime merchandise.

It's understandable that he might have thought it is ok. Lots of people have coat hanger machine guns with no serial numbers, since you can just order the parts online and assemble them.
