That means a large part of the capacity is probably never used at all (cant say how much since wind is of course different in different locations) but if the peak usage is so low its probably still significant for wind and even moreso for solar without the locality component.
Id love to see renewables succeed but I dont see how they would without either better batteries or a global smartgrid, neither of which will be here any time soon.
