heres something i've found out about STEM people i've been thinking about ever since i was a freshman

since most of them were excluded from group or outdoor activities because they were unsociable or werent fit enough to be included to a (potentially) winning team they autistically focus on something novel like video games or science. That thing snowballs because they get 3rd party praise from their parents, news outlets or some of the cultures they've been exposed throughout their formative years (when they were 7-19 year olds)
Scientists are viewed as these noble wizards that make the modern world work
Some will tout this out loud, the others that don't and are "just doing their thing" are aware of this but still hold the same autistic views
When they google career prospects for those 3-9 months while they're trying to figure out what should they do with their life they see high paychecks, it reinforces the stemlets beliefs
Remember, these people have warped world views, they think money = women, of course they are coping
