I've been researching on the motion of an object between the two foci of an ellipse. I was finding the relationship between the length of the major axis and the reflection angle of an object that begins on one focal point, reflects on an elliptical bondary and lands on the other focal point.
Point is, this is ending up being too simple. Can't show my superiors this. How do i modify this research into something a little more complicated? like, a little above highschool level?
