For example there is zero professional protection, they even officially allow non-engineering degree holders to gain CEng status these days. They don't do anything to non-CEng holders who post it in their CV etc.
In short fuck CEng. Just call yourself a Chartered Engineer. Since they claim they can't prosecute anyone why would you pay abhorrent fees for some letters you can use for free?

Listen you might get away with this at smaller companies, but big companies have big HR departments and they WILL contact your university to validate your qualifications. They will put you on any black list they can find. Just don't put it on. As I said smaller firms won't care about your grades anyway, for bigger ones just go for it.
