This doesnt seem consistent with climate models. Isn't the larger snow cover a significant conciliating feedback loop?

Yes that's a great explanation in hindsight.
You could add that hotter weather means more evaporation even.
Doesn't change the fact that no IPCC consensus report talked about this and that no models upped the earth's albedo to account for an extra 2 million square km of pristine whiteness during northern summer.
This can easily account for a change of 1-2W in the radiation budget.
Greenhouse gasses is 2.3 W if i'm not mistaken.

have you quantified exactly how the albedo of the entire earth has changed? You'll need to do this to make any concrete conclusions, let me know your results.
