My goal is to work with ML research, forecasting, algo trading or something similar but keep in mind I am not interested in software engineering, I am mostly interested in the theoretical CS.

I have gotten admitted to a top CS program in my country and plan on doing a top business Economics Bsc. In parallel (two entirely separate degrees from two different unis) for the work opportunities at banks and hedge funds. Furthermore I hope to take some extra math/stats courses if I have time but the CS degree is pretty mathematical as is.

Is there any reason for not studying CS in these circumstances?
