Imagine the result that would have on our civilization. Insant raised awareness of much greater technological feats than what we have currently available. Individual countries would up their military technology tenfold, hundredhold, thousand. War would break out, much worse than we have now.
Such contact would have to be done gradually. Minutely. Testing the waters, so to speak.
Or they could come as Gods. If they want.
