biophysics or how important is the choice of bachelor project?

I will be graduating my BSc physics program early next summer and Im now looking for a project. Have done a seminar on biophysics/ emergence of life that I found very interesting and I get along with the people from that department.
Should I go for it? How important is the choice of bachelor for my further studies and specialization? I dont know if I want to do biophysics all my life (pretty certain I dont actually) and especially in this kind of theoretical research I imagine life as a researcher to be absolute hell chasing grants essentially only from philantropists and the governerment, even if the results are obviously very interesting and important for us as a species and us as lifeforms in general.
Is it easy to transfer from biophysics to the more technical aspects like bioengineering or biotechnology later on? How easy is it to find a job in these fields? Not that I necessarily want to have a safe job, but its always nice to have something in the backhand...
