Ok, was someone that worked with psychometric, testing and all that jazz, I can tell that IQ still an useful way to mesure someone cognitive ability, of course we can have some deviation from the norm, but on overall IQ testing is pretty solid bases and statistical power and still a good way to screen someone to know if there are pretty smart or dumb, or "gifted" of "intelectual impaired" as they say. But the problem is that some... data about some... population and groups show over and over again gaps between them, and well, if go talking about with professional in the area we all know and try ways to close the gap, and still nothing, and of course this points to... biological bases of that difference, this topics is so heated and full of politics and shit like that is like playing with fire, but the overwhelming evidence point to the IQ difference been in biological in origins.
TL;DR: IQ testing still a good way to measure someones mental capacity , no matter what "expert" on /sci/ here or on the mainstream "expert"' says about the "useless" of the test, and problalby they are pushing an agenda, a political one, so beware.
