Looking for a lab that tests substance for Borax

we have borax in our wall insulation added as a fire retardant.

im suspecting there are leaks but before we tear everything up woud be nice to know for sure..

anyone know of a lab that doest such tests?

i couldnt find anything in my area

Scrap some of the powder from the wall, use a gas torch. If the flame becomes green, there is probably borax in your wall.

If you want to know the precise quantity you can contact a lab.

2) add few drops of strong acid and dry
3) torch the dried up residue
If flames go green u have borax.
