Combine it with politicians, scientists and other serious figures trying to draw attention to themselves in the media landscape by awkwardly trying to fit in with memes, and that's the future. Almost nothing in the public sphere will be serious, everything will be ironically sincere ironic irony. Somehow, we will maintain the idea that there's an outside audience who doesn't get it which makes this actually funny, rather than just weird.
