Why did Carl Sagan decide to use Hitler's address to the 1936 Berlin Olympic games as the alien first contact image in the Movie Contact?
The book explains that the signal was one of the first strongest signals to be televised. But Radio has been broadcasting for a time before TV's inception.
Does not make scientific sense. Why not send some Music from the 1920's that was broadcasting or even shortwave signals.
Also, I have a small radio antenna (yagi) that I point to sun, moon planets and stars and I can hear deviations in noise when I point the yagi to an item.
