You can't get rid of it, it happens during the imprinting phase of childhood. It is due to faulty association. As long as you are aroused by normal sex you should be fine

no it happens in a percentage of the population that has a brain defect connecting the arousal part of the brain to the foot part of the brain.

I heard of that theory, I just find this weird that foot fetish in particular would be singled out, while it is the most common one there are others which involves other body parts that are not that "close" in the brain map
