even if we get plastic microbes that can digest this and remove our plastic waste, the microbes won't grow till there's a minimum level of microscopic plastic particles for them to eat. We'll have to accept that that less than minimum level will become pervasive and enter everything we eat, drink, and even breath.
Micro plastic particles will eventually accumulate in higher organisms, which is where these plastic eating microbes will strike next. Which begs the question, if you have a ton of plastic accumulated in your body over many years, then become infected by plastic eating microbes, WTF would that do to your body? Would there be byproducts or metabolic waste produced by these microbes that is toxic to us? Would they just clean out your body leaving you healthy, then starve to death with no ill consequence? Someday in the distant future, will genetically engineered plastic eating microbes be present in all probiotic yogurt because it's healthy for us?!?
