Do you think we have reached a point of understanding the universe where it would be possible for us to go on a route in the far future of colonizing the whole universe? (obviously not with human beings but with self replicating and self repairing AI)

Sometimes I lose sleep because I keep thinking we are already there but we will mess it up somehow being caught up in regular human to human relationships.
