See, the maxim you failed to disprove is literally the rational kernel of psychoanalysis (which originated from Anna O, not Freud), which I have thousands of hours under the belt, so to speak.
I have derived that thing on experiments from above from my personal experience only through that sort of self/psychoanalysis as well. So there is a, I imagine, a sizable difference between meaning I actually try to convey through formulation that the object of experimentation is error - and whatever circumstantial trash you happen to see there.
Anyway. The only philosopher I currently intend to ever seriously study is Hume, and another hypothesis of mine is that after he did his thing, what I heard of it, he effectively executed philosophy as a whole dead. Murdered it cold as a branch of human knowledge. Every sensible person who read Hume knew from thereon, philosophy was something to stay away from. Whoever remained were pseudo-intellectuals, professional "debaters" and outright shizophreniacs alike Kierkegaard or Nietzsche with his WONDERFUL sister, outright human scum, leading others by the nose and enjoying every moment of it.
