They have been doing that weird shit with the specialized schools for Olympic athletes for a while now and since we are about to enter the age of Gene Selection, I can't imagine them not breeding the best athletes.

I feel like allowing them to participate would be cheating. The same way you don't let people on steroids or don't let amputees with robot legs compete. It gives an unfair competitive advantage and creates an escalating series of events that forces everybody to adopt this new thing or stop being competitive. If they allow it, eventually Olympics would be forced to accept that only gene modified can play. The Olympics is a VERY forward thinking group (needing to plan each event many years in advance) and I would not expect them to miss this artificial enhancement after having just dealt with prosthetic leg runners and steroids.

Olympic sports has been scientific match since the cold war and slant eyes here they are taking the fight on another level.
They have specialized talent searches and selection programs.
Add to that doping programs during child development and you have peak athletes.
Im super ok with that since right now athletes just cheat with designer drugs but pretend to be clean.
I'm even for creating specialized event just for juiced up athletes where doping is openly allowed so we can see where the human limit is.

I suppose it’s fun when you’re watching from a distance but if you were a clean athlete then you’d be pissed at people who dope and you’d have to choose to either dope or fall behind everyone else. Same thing with people who use drugs to get good grades

That would be true if majority of the athletes were clean.And it was true probably at some point in history but now everyone is doping and there is no need to pretend.
I had the honor of of sharing train cars with handball players,soccer players mostly second league which shaped my opinion on this topic.
They openly talk between themselves how they are on a cycle of something so they don't have to exercise as much,how they got better at the game how they have time to do other stuff instead wasting hours in the gym ect.
If these people do it then when a professional athlete faces million dollar contract you bet they will need to justify the investment.
Its time to stop pretending and start embracing.

its up to personal preference.

If you want to work in academia sure you will need good grades and where "competing via drugs" becomes a thing.
I study drug free because im learning for myself an for my business.
I couldn't care less that Stacy is doing adderall for her GPA,or that the Chang and the Chinese mafia have all exam answers 2 months before exam or that Pajet will eat shit if he has to just so he can get job as a slave in some rando corporation.
