The BE engines are pretty solid, but they're just that, engines that have done long duration burns. Also the New Sheppard has only done sub-orbital hops. The difference between that and orbit to reentry to landing is a HUGE difference. On top of that, it took SpaceX nearly half a dozen launches before they got their first landing and several more before they started getting repeatability out of it.
I want to believe in his company, but holy shit the pace is so slow.
