jobs in industry

For the people with Master's or Doctorate degrees what is your workload and day-to-day work pace like in industry?

I am a PhD candidate in chem and my professor told me I should go work in industry to make money while im still young, then switch to academia later in life. Thing is, all I want to do is teach and foster the curiosity and love of chemistry much like my undergrad professor did to me and many others. I want to pay it forward and feel like teaching is my mission. Not gonna lie, I also want to teach because it's a very comfy job, at least from my TA-ing experience I've so far really enjoyed it.

However I am still under the allure of the fast money from industry, but was wondering if anyone here had any wise words about this type of career path. At the risk of sounding obnoxious, I've worked all my life (since 14) and I just want to relax and teach after I'm done with my PhD (I am now 31). I currently am in a position were both options are open and would like you guy's input.

Yes, I am in the U.S., citizen, would very willingly relocate anywhere in the states.

Thanks
