A CS degree is useless. All the topics are naturally antiquated. Tech companies only care about skill and aptitude for newer languages.

I'm not saying it's completely useless, but out of all the STEM fields it's the least crucial for success in that field.

My point is that you could get those jobs and money without the degree. You could even start a business but, instead you chose to study a degree, which IS a meme, and be strapped down by debt.

I did math with a maj in comp sci. It is completely useful, physics for example is no different to studying applied mathematical history. It has no bullshit real breakthroughs, all the major breakthrough of recent are in the fiels of math, EE, Chem. E, Physics just go on to ask bigger questions or point at flaws well they will make up some meta-problem for it.

I'm not saying Physics is a useless degree by any means but its all subjective.
