>>14349585It's /pol/shit basically, all of the fag studies stuff in academe is. Every one of the intersectional subjects (queers, fags, fatties, trannies, all the race studies of every kind, etc) are essentially attempts to apply Marx's class warfare proposition to every facet of life.
It probably has something to do with establishing academic language to describe how fatoids are an oppressed class and non-fatoids are an oppressor class, that being a disgusting landwhale is heroic and activist and revolutionary, etc, etc, the same divisive bullshit that all these other pseudo-academics do.
The purpose of their "fields" is not to solve a problem or answer a question, like mathematics, engineering, medicine, etc, their only purpose is to justify why they and their clique of friends should get a six figure salary for bitching and whining and being degenerates day in and day out, but pretentiously.
