Doesn't mean more complicated one has any merit either. It's not the complexity of string theory that makes it pseudoscience. It's the utter lack of any actual science occurring: it doesn't explain experiments, it doesn't predict any results, and just pretends its results match reality. That's not science---that's religion.

Applying string models to the QGP after you've discovered the QGP isn't a prediction, it's an ad hoc model. A prediction would have been if Maldacena predicted a QGP exist within a well-defined energy region produced by the LHC via his 11-dimensional manifold. Of course, that's not what happened.

How do string theorists use time in their theory?

What do string theorists define time as in their equations?

Do the strings generally have 3d bodies?

The one thing I have heard of string theory that on the face of it seems rediculous, is that it is not even like little worms wiggling, but that the strings are loops? Wtf. Fundamental matter circles with a hole opening in the middle?

What is the motivation to think string theory is neccesary at all?.

What is the standard model lacking, that string theory trys to fill in and solve?

What i have heard is that experiments are possible in principle but not feasible in practice due to the insane energy scales. Basically we cant economically detect any quantum effects of gravity.

No, the implication is just that the two types of interactions operate on fundamentally different processes. Electroweakstrong interactions are particle-faciliated, gravitational interactions are inertial forces resulting from changes in spacetime.

All the supposed conflicts between EWS and gravity stem from either A) oversimplifications of metric solutions to the Einstein equations which cannot fully capture the complex nonlinearity of extremely large N systems or B) efforts by particle physics fags trying to force gravity to behave the same as other quantized field models.

How is it clear gravity is part of the QGP? How is it clear that QCD is needed for gravity? Protip: they're not. QCD wasnt used in tuning LIGO. Gravity isnt used in analyzing the QGP.

Problem with string theory is, it requires Supersimmetry to work, and we have 0 evidence of the existence of susy.

Loop quantum gravity, while still unconfirmed and uncomplete, does not require extradimensions nor superstrings, can explain singularities, has a cosmological model attached, is compatible with many interpretations of quantum physics, and basically complete the work which Einstein was doing with the Wheeler DeWitt equation.

All these characteristics make it a much more plausible candidate as Theory of Quantum Gravity.
