>>14314403The common showing of the 2d example of dip appears misleading, cause can the dip be equal distance on all sides? How can the dip Infront of the earth dip before earth reaches it, another touching problem; does a boat make a wake in front of it.
As mentioned, the earth is spinning, the first idea that comes to mind as to how the earth effects space in front of it.
If the earth is spinning, and the gravity field reacts to earths presence, perhaps as the earth spins, the gravity field spins around it and this creates a dip around it.
So how does this force most objects to stick to earth.
Maybe we really have to say it's more electrostatic, the earth is moving, and we cant jump off it, maybe like we couldn't jump off a car that was quickly traveling down the highway if the car was 50 miles long and 50 miles wide and we were in the center; but if there were people standing upside down on the bottom of the car and sideways on the sides, they would fall off, so why not on earth.
Our electrons are stably stuck to us more or less; and maybe when we jump into the air there are particles that could want them, but their tug on them is not as strong as the collective tug of the entire earth;
The air cannot grab onto our body and hold it; and the earth is moving, so the air is moving, we are standing still when we jump in air, the earth is moving.
