>>14294722i'm sure they will have at least 2 rockets ready to go. no doubt the first rocket to mars will be packed with spare parts and heavy machinery to allow the crew to make repairs and run full testing regimes, brief engine fires, etc. hell i'd want to take one of the rockets up for a short uncrewed hop and landing just to kick the tires if it's been sitting around for a while.
i think bone issues will be al ot easier to deal with-hell i bet just having a weighted suit and doing some heavy lifting every day will be enough to be fine long term.
