Don’t take it so hard, instead focus on teaching the subjects you care about, don’t focus on making quizzes and exams “”hard” and try to pass knowledge.
Our capitalist society and corruption of universities is what disrespects you, companies will post entry level positions and internships and demand GPAs, they auto filter everyone but the top 3% to 5%, he’ll I got my first job because I lied about having a 4.0
They need to cheat and use any means necessary to get the highest grade possible, one of my favorite professors literally gives everyone an A just for showing up, first class I took with him was because I heard he gives the free A, then… I caught myself listening to his lecture because I enjoyed learning, the weight of a grade was lifted and I remembered what it was like yo learn out of passion and curiosity instead of making sure I can pass.
I took every other class he taught, got all A’s, and learned significantly more than any other classes.
I’m sorry that this probably sounds ridiculous to you, but consider teaching a class for the sake of imparting knowledge yo those who want it, don’t worry about testing people or weeding out the unworthy.
Just teach, make it easy, remind them of their curiosity and passion, let them forget about the hellscape that is every other fucking class .
