I'm young and healthy, not even a bit overweight and for me the original Covid was the worst flu-like disease I ever had. 15 days of feeling like shit unable to do much more than lying in bed shivering in a pool of sweat at night and everything tasted and smelled rotten or burned. Slight cough but no breathing issue though.
Also I had increased hair loss for three months after recovery.
Some people I know still can't taste or smell anything more than one year and a half later. It's likely permanent for them.
Some have developed cardiac and metabolic issues a few weeks after recovery. The link isn't clear but it's a weird timing for previously healthy people.
Also I spread it to a 75 years old relative, big smoker and in bad shape and all he got was a slighty more intense than usual cough for 3 days. It's a really weird disease.
