You may very well be a competent black man, but due to affirmative action blacks are often seen as undeserving of their sport, this is especially true at ivy leagues, hence you'll find blacks are often treated either like children or retards, this even extends to the workplace. Prior to affirmative action, back when everything was based on merit, I suspect blacks wouldn't have experienced this as they would have been seen as intelligent equals.
