>>14161581 and realizing that this is technically within our capability to build, but artemis base camp will be nothing like this. Going back to the moon is awesome, and it was fun when trump wanted to do it even if it was just a vanity project. "Next man and first woman" like okaaay weird selling point but fine, nothing wrong with that. But now we are seeing what it is evolving (or rather, devolving into). I'm glad they went with starship but that is literally just for ONE (1) landing?? And then SLS is going to bootleg a bunch of parts up to gateway just to give the rocket something to do? Appendix N? Appendix H? LETS? NASA has no idea what the fuck it's doing. "Next woman and next person of color!" Artemis is fucking cringe and will never lead to a sustainable Moon base with multiple landing pads and huge habitats and tons of astronauts. I don't care if they slap the labels of "sustainable" "efficient" "THIS TIME TO STAY" on all of the outlines. It is a fucking jobs program for Florida ground infrastructure and shuttle contractor handouts. It has no clear goal. It has no clear timeline. Going to the Moon is based, but Artemis is cringe. How could that be, you ask. Well. Space flight is overall based but shit like Astra and Blue Origin are cringe. Just because it has a great accomplishment as part of the program doesn't mean it is turning out well.
