The 95% is relative risk reduction at keeping people out of the hospital compared to control. The number of people hospitalized in both cases is low.
The actual effectiveness at prevention is lower (60%?) and seems to go below 50% after months. For Omicron it starts out below 50%? That’s not enough to stop it’s spread in fully boosted.
Does it prevent some damage from Covid in the body? Yes. But it’s also killing people who have immune disorders, other diseases, causing new problems and it’s not studied properly. So you have to talk to a doctor whether you should take it or not. This vaccine is going to kill old people, but so is the virus.
