You could try Histology. You'll get a lot of breast tissue and colon samples, but it's a solid field at least. You're going to likely have to have a small staff of some kind, especially if you're not wanting to work under another practice or hospital group. Don't despair. It'll work itself out, you just need to weigh your options out for yourself and keep a good list of pros and cons.

How will these pig organs change medicine, especially if they learn to change those genes so preciselly tailored to an invidual that patients won't need immunosuppressants? Wouldn't it then make change to treat pretty much any chronic organ specific problem with just transplant if there is virtually unlimited supply of new organs?

Like diabetes? Just transplant pig pancreas. Liver cancer? Just swap in pig liver. IBS? Just swap in pig intestines.

You don't even transplant a pancreas in diabetes, unless you do a renal transplant at the same time because the immunosuppressants aren't worth it.
Pig transplants would only be truly revolutionary if immunosuppressants weren't necessary. Maybe this is somehow possible with enough gene editing? but I really have no idea.
The only thing this really does is alleviating the problem that is not having enough organs to transplant, which is great because it means more people can get transplants, but it doesn't revolutionize medical treatment in and of itself.
Anyways, this is a really new medical thing and with any new medication, you will realize the shortcomings of it once it actually gets further and further in medical trials.

I'm 26 yrs old and upon reflection I think I suffer from ADHD to some degree.
Living in the UK is there any point approaching some medical professional about this? I've not got much confidence in the long term side effects of whatever medication people are prescribed for their mental health -leaving serious debilitating conditions like Schizophrenia aside, those poor souls- and I'd rather not get labeled with a mental health condition on my record if I can't even treat it properly.

You can become a "Chief resident" and delay your "graduation" as an attending by 1 more year.
So you literally just get cucked for 1 additional year and don't get attending level pay.
Only cucks and people that want to get into a highly competitive fellowship do this.

How difficult is it to practice in a different country after studying in the US? I start an MD program in the fall and I'm hoping if/when the US starts sliding hard I can move to South America and practice there. Would family medicine be an ideal specialty for that? I liked EM but I can't imagine I'd be able go practice that in the countryside in South America
