Has he ever talked about improving communication with you, and strategy's for keeping yourself coherent and together? Therapy is actually Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; if your therapist isn't working on helping your behaviors but instead focuses on diagnoses you should try another shrink. Also you should start considering that maybe you are crazy, not cause of political opinions, but maybe becasue of how you present them or see yourself as part of the world. Your story really isn't detailed enough to gauge whether or not your therapist had the proper reaction. Getting a second opinion is always a good idea, and I'd recommend trying a female therapist too, crossing the gender line when it comes to CBT can often help break down communication barriers.
