I work with integrated electronics and photonics. The thing is so bad that even our stone age tier foundry is being shut down because of senseless cuts. The thing is: Ceitec was our only option to develop in-house semiconductors for research without relying on imports that take time and cost more. And no, there is no way private sector will invest towards it and the small stuff we have also rely on imports which are heavily taxed by the government
