Concrete example
-School in poor neighbourhood with 100% Black kids
-they get bad grades
-Leftist progressive unions and conservatives argue constantly and try different approaches for decades with the reality of kids getting bad grades never changing
-the kids get bad grades because they are dumb is an unacceptable answer
Because of this (the reality of them being dumb being a taboo), the only other answer available once all pedagogical theories have been exhausted, is that they get bad grades because of systemic racism. The racism has to be systemic, not your normal old style racism, because the teachers aren't racist and are doing the best they can, so it has to be an invisible racism force that permeates society in subtle ways.
So Americans are tearing each other apart because it's unacceptable to say poor black people are generally dumb. Their lack of success has to be caused by systemic racism.
Macron, a progressive liberal, is very against this American idea, because it can destroy France too. France has both many Blacks, and has inherited the ideas of citizenship of the enlightenment that completely don't take into account the race and religion of people, all humans are just "citizens".
If French Blacks not doing as well as Frenchmen in entrance exams becomes an issue, all that has been happening in the USA could happen there. They are fighting for their colourblind approach.
