>>13444967I'm a commercial beekeeper, queen breeder and etc with 2600 hives It comes down to money. There is no need to clone bees just get your government to pay me I can give you happy bees strong and healthy hives give me a place to put them permanently with enough biodiversity and offer me money it doesn't have to be much. Im sorry but the wild bees won't make it chemical use, flower bloom changes, deforestation, climate change, varroa, diseases like AFP and european and wasps are going to keep knocking them down. Depending on the biodiversity I would only charge 10k-20k USD per year for 240 hives which would be kept alive 24/7 so the entire area is pollinated and I could drop them in batches of 240 hives like picrel and pollinate your entire country.
Buuuuuut the government doesn't want real solutions. The bees have always been political. It is a simple task to bring them back. I could manage the pollination of an entire country if I had the resources. I love bees.
