>>13428586Inspiration4 astronauts are going to orbit the Earth, and the glass bubble in place of the dock mount on the Dragon V2 will be used to take unprecedented photography by each of the astronauts during their mission, which can be argued as a major contribution to arts and sciences. Each person also will be able to take their experiences back home and empower their own communities. One of the astronauts is disabled, one of her limbs is a full prosthetic and is also a lukemia survivor. So all the science tests they'll do on her after she returns, to see how her body behaved with a prosthetic in space as well as whether being in space for the duration given her condition had any positive or negative change TO, will be immensely valuable to science and humanity.
Something which BO, Bezos, and NS wouldn't do because of a sub-orbital flight and a mere 4 minutes of free-fall. Inspiration4 is expected to be up in orbit for several days before returning. In other words, the glass cap on top can be pointed towards the earth the entire time, and just imagine going to sleep as the earth turns below you and being able to see it in realtime. Having a 4K or even an 8K camera pointed down streaming in realtime through that is going to be wild.
