Did he use the Mensa Norway online IQ test? If so, it's not a valid test. It's there to give people an idea if they'd qualify for Mensa or not but isn't itself valid for membership. They only accept the results from a small number of tests that are conducted in a controlled environment.

Why are you even responding if you didn't watch his original video or followup? He went and got tested, as in did the official Mensa test. He was given results on paper which he read and explained the process of the test etc (said it was 145). He then got schizo calls from a Mensa person supposedly saying he divulged too much and that because he had a math degree it should be far lower because they didn't know he had a math degree or something. So he just doesn't know if he should leave the video down for legal reasons.

I have no idea, they are butthurt about people potentialy giving answers to their tests (they reuse them I think because making a good iq test takes a lot of time and they can't just make a new one for every session) and at least in my country I heard they have a rule that they don't give their exact scores so there is no hostility between members (and because test they make are fucking godlike at telling whether someone is above or bellow 130 but are not that accurate besides that so scores like 134, 136, 141 ect might as well be a toss up.

-I trust iq tests when they are performed by psychiatrists, and when it's done on kids who don't know they are getting an iq test, because the kids has some kind of issue at school.
I am very doubtful of how worthwile an online iq test is, by adults who know what iq tests are, and who can prepare to do good in one.

This is just bad psychometrics (which is a solid field rooted in statistics, but you need to use it right: garbage in, garbage out). This makes another shaky assumption on an already heavily theory-laden construct like IQ. Real IQ tests used in psychological diagnosis (not mutual jerkoff societies) might have different norms for different populations, but not different tests, Jesus fuck that's beyond retarded.

I think the problem here is that math college education shows you a lot of ways of approaching problems and finding patterns, if a test is very fast it may be less of a factor but with 1min per question you could easily incorporate your math skills into some problems. It is just like with mental arithmetic as an IQ component (processing speed I think), if you take normal people you can be almost certain that none of them studied vedic math and practiced various tricks for fast mental multiplication, I've seen some of the tricks of vedic math. It is crazy, you don't even have to know the whole 10x10 multiplication table (you only need it up to 5) and yet with enough practice most people could mentaly multiply 6 digit numbers, find roots, calculate the fractions with accuracy of 30 decimal places (or more) etc.

not really, problem is with that it's not possible to test intelligence firsthand, you need a proxy. It's kind of like estimating someone's height by their shoe size. So to measure intelligence psychometrics niggas made lists of questions that only a smart person could answer, having rich vocabulary, being better and text comprehension, faster counting, puzzles. Someone who studied literature and is an avid reader would have an edge on tests that ask you to select words with similar meanings, I am word test or other tests centered on knowing words. I even found some weird mental energy intellect wiki that briefly mentioned in one of the articles that psychologists can estimate IQ using rorshach pictures, they give you ink stains and you must make up a narrative or a story that is later used to extrapolate your IQ range.

Compulsory visits to an anger management psych were ordered or be kicked out of the entire regional school district. IQ test was ordered and I hit 145.
