It's not just for water and power either, but also the temperature is much more stable there. It's outside your argument but if they go elsewhere at 50 kW they'd need about 16,800 kWh or 16.8 mWh which would be about five Tesla Mega packs, but it would be much cheaper that whatever nuclear meme you're thinking of.
