They're also incredibly difficult to handle safely by ground crews, as they are technically always fueled and cannot be made safe in the event of a ground fire. Liquid fueled rockets can have their propellant stored in dedicated tanks off-site until needed, and in the event of an emergency can be vented or drained without harm, leaving just an empty metal tube.
