2. the people that used to be emos, goths, vampires, scene kids, and similarly "cringe" cultures are now old enough to feel nostalgic about the dumb things they did as kids and teens.
3. deep down, everyone loves edgy things like emo/goth aesthetics, and when you combine them with cute boys (and girls, I guess) you can produce powerful results.
