- Timers for fresh cookies were added to slow-down spammers that could wipe out the catalog in 20 minutes. First it was a 15m timer on /biz/, then on /pol/ and /vg/, then on the entire site, then different timers for replies, reports and new threads.
- Three different captchas were added because spammers created solvers for 4chan's character captcha and shared them as scripts and add-ons. The original solvers were abandoned, but the ban-evasion sites have their own versions updated to detect the new variations of the captcha.
- Multiple shadowban systems were created to deter spammers, many of them introduced this year right before the hack.
- Images and videos uploaded are automatically reencoded by Cloudflare to stripe out metadata because that was were the original file embedding scripts used to hide secret files. This had the drawback of making searching files on third-party archives much harder since the same imagen uploaded multiple times on 4chan could have multiple different hashes. You still can get the original image from 4chan's server instead of CF's reencoded copy by adding ?sometext at the endo of the links of files (like

- Making loli threads on /v/, specially with more "realistic" characters, almost always ends with proxypedos congregating to share CP until everyone gets banned. Making shota threads there isn't recommended either even through I haven't seen them be used for bad purposes beyond /soc/ niggers posting their nudes.
- More regions are rangebanned since the ban-evasion tools use residential proxies and botnets.
- Mods are more trigger-happy than ever, handing out bans over the smallest things and permabans for anything pedo-related (careful with your posts about RL boys).
