>>3985393Angelos are "messengers." Putti could maybe be included in that class but in a strict sense you have some chronological issues. In a pre-Christian mindset (winged humanoid statues from Rome can be found dated to 500bc) the two would be absolutely related, but the term "putti" was coined after the Italian Renaissance. I have lots of pictures from Rome actually, a lot of stuff around the first and second century, but most of it is statues/reliefs and illustrated and dongles are definitely visible.
