>>3982499Yorknew is also botched, especially with how well 1999 adapted it. On a baseline, 1999 may be lesser visually but when it hits a stride, it blows 2011 out of the fucking water. That's worth far more to me than being consistently mediocre. I appreciated 1999's OC elements a lot, actually. I just found it a far more rewarding and memorable experience as a whole, not just how lovely Kil was.
I think it's time we all moved on from Hunter x Hunter. It definitely doesn't need a new anime. I haven't kept up with the manga since early in DC. It should just end. Huge waste of energy on both parties. Just an innane circlejerk. He'll never finish it because he thinks of his fans and supporters as idiots who'll lap him up no matter what and I can't support that.
