i adore every fic that involves light either realizing he's kira before he gets his memories back or, when he does, relinquishing the death note and surrendering to L because he loves him too much to kill him.
light is just so cute and innocent during that time period kek. one of my favorite scenes is when soichiro fakes killing him and light's immediate response after L talks to him through the intercom is "you got it, ryuzaki! let's catch kira... together!" with that stupid smile on his face like kek your dad just tried to shoot you point blank in the head and you're out here like :DDDD
