TomTord shippers tend to be have pretty bad interpretations of canon, not even related to Tord or Tom, but check out the picrel from this TomTord artist, they absolutely get it.
What reason could Edd or Matt or even Tom have for opposing their friend doing what seems to be just some innocent little weapons experimentation? We've seen these guys' moral standards, they're pretty bedrock, and giant robot isn't something that's, like, overtly evil, so why would Tord even need to hide anything in the first place?
